Bring your clubs and enjoy Southern Oregon Golf
You’ll be amazed at the variety of golf options in Southwest Oregon. The region’s largest city is Medford, which boasts an International Airport with service from major airlines and active general aviation facilities.
While much of western Oregon is monopolized by rain and drizzle much of the year, Medford’s Rogue Valley is not. The higher peaks of Oregon’s Southern Coastal Range blocks much of the moisture coming in from the Pacific. This drier and sunnier climate is perfect for golf. Though temperatures can soar in the summer, humidity is low and nighttime temperatures usually dip into the 60’s.
The Rogue Valley is home to nearly a dozen Oregon golf courses of varying size, degree of difficulty, and price.
One of the premiere courses in this area is the Stoneridge Golf Course, with easy access, lush greens, and a comfortable appeal.
While not on the greens, explore drama at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in nearby Ashland or world-class musicians in the open-air theater of Britt Gardens in the historic gold mining town of Jacksonville. If you’re the outdoorsy type, try salmon fishing on the Rogue River. Day trips are a favorite of visitors from around the world. Try a driving tour of local wineries or a visit to the Crater Lake National Park.
